On Sunday, August 10, Aieta celebrates one of the most prized products of Calabrian gastronomic tradition with a festival dedicated to the local ham.
From 7:00 p.m., Piazza Rea will be transformed into a stage of authentic flavors with the opening of food stands, where you can taste the renowned Aieta ham, prepared according to ancient recipes handed down from generation to generation. A unique opportunity to discover the secrets of an artisanal process rooted in the history of the territory.
The evening will not only be a culinary experience: traditional folk games will involve young and old alike in a festive and convivial atmosphere, while the notes of the “Salfi in Trio” and their magical accordions will accompany the tasting with the soundtrack of Calabrian musical tradition.
The Ham Festival, which celebrates the cultural and gastronomic identity of Aieta, fits perfectly into the rich summer calendar “Il borgo che incanta” (The enchanting village), which promotes local excellence in a context of discovery and sharing.
