The town of Sorbo San Basile is one of the favourite mountain destinations for tourists visiting the Sila area of Catanzaro: rich in natural charm and enlivened by the colours of the murals in the historic part of town.
Located at an altitude of 620 metres along the Alli River, Sorbo San Basile is the centre of reference for Villaggio Lagomar, one of the mountain tourist villages in the area, popular for both summer holidays and winter snowshoeing. For some time now, the historic centre of Sorbo San Basile has also been a destination for street artists, who bring it to life through the colourful storytelling of murals, including the Instagram-worthy Stairway of Love.
